What was this natural anti-perspirant featured on an old sitcom?

Saturday, May 19th, 2012

It was an episode of alley mcbeal. Lucy Lu’s character painted this ancient secret anti-perspirant stuff on a client that sweat too much b/c he was making himself look guilty. I make homemade beauty products and would love to know if this natural anti perpirant really exists. What was it made of and whats it called? In the show, it was a liquid that was applied with a paint brush. Currently there is no known way to make a natural anti-perspirant that functions like a commercial brand because they work by clogging the pores with aluminum. Is there some secret chinese recipe for sweating out there?

I hate to tell you this, the "ancient Chinese secret" is potassium alum – which is (drum roll) aluminum.

The "natural stones" you see in stores are chemically very close (and made by the 55 gallon drum)

what is these paintings called?

Thursday, May 17th, 2012

There are two paintings i really like but i can’t remember their names.
The first one I saw at the met it was a a young women with long black hair in a white peasant blouse and a skirt standing next to a stone fountain
The second one I saw in a book in art class a while ago and it was a Chinese brush painting of a fox and i think a rabbit playing chess.
If you could help me I would really appreciate it thank you.

Hi! Is this the painting?
