Painting Plum Blossom Chinese Hanging Scroll with Rooster Feather Brush

Monday, July 23rd, 2012

chinese painting brush Available on DVD now!
This plum blossom painting conclude the “Four Gentlemen” hanging scroll series. I have tried very hard to take advantage of the green screen trick that I have just learned to give the viewer some idea about spirit of plum blossoms which bloom in the snow. I found theses nice pictures on the internet AFTER I have done the painting and in the video editing process to make it look like I was painting in front of those beautiful flowers instead of the green screen. I wish it helps you to get the essence of Chinese plum blossom painting. Let me know what do you think.

The brush that I used for this plum painting is made of rooster feather. It worked out just as I expected – to loosen up control over details and concentrate on the oneness of all strokes and the wholesome image in my mind. I love the rich texture generated by dry feather brush on the trunk and the bouncing twigs produced by sensitive feather tip.

Quality Content with Contextual Links Will Win Over Search Engines in The Long Run

Saturday, July 21st, 2012

Rank algorithm update from google weeded out a lot of good or bad websites,   the reason cited is that google wanted to provide more relevant results, on official google blog it is estimated 11.8% search results will be affected by this update, in plain English, google thinks about 12% of it’s search results are really bad and need to manipulated. Google started this change almost one year ago, maybe that’s why some of my ranks dropped out of first 10 pages, on the other hand almost all keywords promoted by contextual links are not affected, some of the keywords even ranked better than before, it’s obvious that link building the old way is the thing of past, probably due to links crammed sites being thrown away by google.

Now what on earth is plain link building and how do people do it? a large percentage of SEO firms will do this,  they will get links from any websites which accept adding links, these websites will only be updated when new links are being added, and most of them are useless, the name of link spamming sites is justified. New google algorithm most likely will punish these link spammers,  all the links on those websites will have the same fate.

A few real world examples will help to explain what I said. In the very beginning, I didn’t know better, I started with this keyword, Auto Garage Necessity, of course with old way of link building, almost all the sites I got link from had too many links, and the worst thing is that those sites are linking sites only and had no content, not even crap content. This strategy worked in the beginning, lately the keyword link stayed on the first page for a while, this was the case until google made the change. Here is another keyword, chain pullers, most back links for this keyword are from articles and posts, almost no plain links, the rank for this keyword is making me real happy. Now contextual links win the battle, then what? In fact the only thing matters here is content, so if you create great content, you will attract readers as well as search engines. How do you do it? Writing articles and building blogs, for instance let’s examine this one, top smartphones 2011 , I didn’t put too much effort into it from start, but I never stopped posting, and to my surprise, I have high ranks for some of  competitive keywords. As far as SEO concerned, creating quality content and article marketing is what we have to do to get great result. If you can build a group of your own blogs, for instance The Little Tape Saves Life, you will have the power to push any sites up in search engines.

Bottom line is that you should create great content, publish and share with people, promote your business with the content, as long as you don’t stop doing this, you will win over customers and search engines. Whatever you do, you will need persistence and patience, long term strategy is required to improve anything of significance, be it your business or search rankings, now all we have to do is to share our love for creating and sharing quality content and not to worry about the search results every day. When publisinh articles, I prefer ezine, a new article will be indexed and cached in less than an hour, popular blogs will get your post indexed as soon as you post it, here I am going to show you an article in article directory or on a blog, say this Never Go Out Wihtout A Cone, nice writing, good content, published on popular site, all these points make it perfect for SEO.

By the way, the social media is the must have channel for your marketing effort. For wordpress blogs, I recommend twitter tools, get a twitter account and API keys, set up API credentials in your twitter tools option, then every new post on your blog will show up in your twitter page, it’s real easy and useful, no one should miss this tool out.
