How to Paint Grape Leaves in an Ancient Style Chinese Mop Brush (2/2)

Sunday, August 12th, 2012

chinese painting brush This is a demo of a complete grape painting following last video. I used three different brushes: a goat mop for the leaves and grapes, a black sable for the veins nd stems, and a long bristle bager hair brush for the vines and tendrils. The ink is Chunghwa bottled Chinese ink. And the color for the grape is a mix of mineral greens(light and dark) with some gamboge yellow. I used Marie’s Chinese painting colours. The rice paper is white single Xuan(shuan) paper. I used a magnetic white board padded ith synthetic felt with mini-size strong magnetic paperweights. Above Chinese painting materials can be found at our online store at http://www.BlueHeronArts.com
